Wikipedia Print Optimizer ("the extension") is a browser extension that reformats Wikipedia articles for compact printing. Your privacy is the point of the product.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information or browsing data. There are no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

How the extension works with your data

• When you use it on a Wikipedia article, the extension reads that page's content only in your browser, to reformat it for printing. This content is never sent anywhere — not to the developer, not to any third party, not to any server.
• Your settings (which sections to keep or remove, font size, page margins, and infobox handling) are saved using Chrome's built-in storage.sync so they persist and sync across your own devices through your Google account. These are your own preferences; they are not transmitted to the developer or any third party.

Permissions

The extension requests only what it needs to do its single job:

• activeTab and scripting — to format the Wikipedia tab you're currently viewing, on demand, when you click Print.
• storage — to remember your settings.
• Access limited to wikipedia.org pages only.

Third parties

The extension contains no third-party code, no remotely hosted code, and makes no network requests.

Children's privacy

The extension collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
